Palo Alto University is expanding professional development opportunities for faculty and staff with the launch of LinkedIn Learning, providing employees with on-demand access to a broad range of courses and resources to build new skills and support their continued professional growth.
Employees can explore learning opportunities across business, technology, creative fields, artificial intelligence, and more, along with professional certificates and select continuing education opportunities. Personalized recommendations and learning paths make it possible for employees to find resources that align with their roles, interests, and career goals, and learn at their own pace.
The launch is part of PAU’s continued investment in its people and in creating an environment where curiosity and growth are encouraged throughout an employee’s career.
“Investing in LinkedIn Learning is part of PAU’s commitment to creating meaningful opportunities for employees to continue learning and growing throughout their careers,” said Rein Johnson, Director of People Operations. “We want our employees to have access to high-quality development resources that help them strengthen the skills they use today, explore new areas of professional growth, and prepare for future opportunities. My hope is that employees will take ownership of their development, stay curious, and use this resource to continue building their knowledge in ways that also strengthen the University and the work we do together.”
LinkedIn Learning is one part of a broader People Operations effort to make learning and development more accessible across PAU.
Through the ongoing PAU Learning Series, employees will have opportunities throughout the year to learn together, build practical skills, and connect with resources that support them in their work. Future programming may include Lunch & Learns, skill-building sessions, leadership and career development, benefits and wellness education, and other timely topics.
The series launched in August with a Lunch & Learn that introduced LinkedIn Learning and gave faculty and staff a firsthand look at the platform and the many ways they can use it to support their development.
Together, LinkedIn Learning and the PAU Learning Series represent something bigger than access to a new platform. They reflect the university's continued investment in the people behind PAU’s work, and in creating a culture where employees are encouraged to stay curious, keep learning, build new skills, and bring that knowledge to their work every day.
