Join Us for NAMIWalks - Supporting Mental Health Advocacy!
NAMIWalks Silicon Valley! Organized by the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), this annual event raises awareness and funds for mental health support and advocacy.
We are excited to announce that this year, PAU has established our own walking team - "PAU Mental Health Champions" - and we take pride in being a gold sponsor of this event!
Here are the event details:
- Purpose: NAMIWalks is an opportunity for us to unite and show our support for mental health initiatives and advocacy efforts.
- Location: History Park, 635 Phelan Avenue, San Jose CA 95112
- Event Day/Time: Saturday, October 7, 2023; 8 am - 1 pm PST
- Check-In & Registration: 8 am - 9 am
- Keynote Speaker: 9 am, Paraag Marathe
- Walk Start Time: 10 am
- Walk Length: 5k (a shorter route is also available)
Registration
Registering for our team is simple, just click PAU Mental Health Champions, then “Join Our Team.” You have the option to attend in person as a "Team Member" or participate virtually as a "Virtual Participant" while still raising funds and awareness. Additionally, you can find a local NAMIWalks event in your area or help spread the word about this significant event on social media. We warmly encourage you to invite your family and friends to join us in this worthy cause. Let's expand our circle and make a positive impact together.
