PAU's new M.S. Organizational and Business Psychology degree is different than traditional industrial organizational psychology programs in at least four ways:

  1. The program is a blend of industrial-organizational psychology, business/human resources, and workforce analytics.
  2. The curriculum is built upon scientific and applied research in human factors as they impact business success.
  3. It integrates trends and methodologies that are highly relevant to today's organizations and their stakeholders, particularly employees.
  4. It's goal is to develop students as strategic business contributors and leaders skilled in optimizing individual, team, and organizational workplace performance.

Who is this program for?

The M.S. Organizational and Business Psychology program is open to students with a Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution, in any field or major, who are interested in retooling or broadening their career options by earning a Master's degree.

What learning outcomes can students expect in this program?

Graduates of the M.S. Organizational and Business Psychology program will demonstrate application of behavioral science, business and HR management principles and workforce analytics in order to evaluate people factors, plan human capital resource allocation, mitigate workforce problems, and optimize human motivation and productivity in business environments.

Learning will include:

  • Utilizing science-based psychological principles to optimize human behavior, performance, decision-making, and social processes.
  • Exercising critical thinking and discernment in the selection of information sources for researching and evaluating workforce analytics.
  • Applying behavioral science and business methodologies to strategically address workforce issues and opportunities including: translating evidence to practice, and developing and evaluating specific real-world programs or applications.
  • Recognizing and understanding social, economic and political trends that affect business planning, management and operations on a local to global scale and in face-to-face or technology-mediated interactions.
  • Understanding and expanding their own self-awareness, leadership and teamwork capability in complex, multicultural work environments.

Is the entire program online?

Yes. This program will be delivered 100% online to accommodate the needs of working people who need to balance the demands of jobs, families and other responsibilities while earning a graduate degree. All classes meet online in the evening and are scheduled at times that are convenient to participants in their time zones and/or recorded for students in other time zones.

How long will it take to earn this degree?

The M.S. Organizational and Business Psychology program requires eight quarters of coursework over two years.

Can students maintain employment while enrolled in this program?

Yes. This program is being designed as a 100% online program with no residency requirement so students can maintain full-time employment for the duration of the program.

How much will it cost?

Tuition and fees will be announced in Fall 2015.

No. This program is open to students worldwide and applicable to global business practices. Please note that PAU's language of instruction is English, and English language proficiency will be required.
