Mask Requirements at PAU

PAU will make masks available at the Gronowski Center check-in desk as well as in the break rooms at the Mountain View Campus, and in the library and break room at the Allen Calvin Campus.

Gronowski Center and Stanford Campus Mask Requirements Effective May 1, 2024

The Designated Winter Respiratory Virus Period Health Order, which applies to all Healthcare Delivery Settings, including the Gronowski Center and Stanford campus, is not in effect between May 1 through October 31, 2024. During this period, masks are not required.  However, when local or internal data indicate that there is a high level of risk to students or employees, this guidance may change. Masks are highly encouraged and remain a critical component for protecting the most vulnerable people in our communities, including older adults, people who are immunocompromised, have certain disabilities or underlying health conditions, and are otherwise at increased risk of getting severe COVID-19 and other respiratory infections.

Mountain View Campus Classrooms and Calvin Campus Mask Guidelines

Although masks are not currently required, when local or internal data indicate that there is a high level of risk to students or employees this guidance may change. Masks remain a critical component for protecting the most vulnerable people in our communities, including older adults, people who are immunocompromised, have certain disabilities or underlying health conditions, and are otherwise at increased risk of getting severe COVID-19 and other respiratory infections.

Employee Mask Requirements if Tested Positive for COVID-19 or Confirmed Exposure to COVID-19

Individuals with COVID-19 may be infectious for around 10 days after they become sick or test positive. Isolation is recommended until they have been fever-free for at least 24 hours without the use of fever-reducing medications and their symptoms are mild and improving. Please use an N95 or KN95 mask for the full 10 days, and avoid contact with people who have an increased risk of getting severe COVID-19.
