University Faculty Review Committee
The University Faculty Review Committee (UFRC), a standing committee of the Voting Faculty, is responsible for evaluating, reviewing, and providing recommendations for faculty members at the university. Their charge includes conducting thorough assessments and making recommendations for annual review, reappointment, promotion, and tenure of faculty in categories such as scholar educator, tenure track, and clinician educator.
The UFRC also reviews and offers recommendations for faculty appointments in tenure track and scholar educator positions, ensuring candidates possess the necessary qualifications and potential for substantial contributions. Additionally, the committee collaborates with the Chief Academic Officer (CAO) to establish university-based criteria, policies, and procedures for faculty evaluation, appointment, reappointment, promotion, tenure, and severance, ensuring alignment with similar institutions offering comparable degrees.
