Palo Alto University Business Psychology Alumna opens Non-profit Organization and providing great volunteer opportunities in Uganda for PAU students/alumni.

A very moving and inspiring Kwibuka20 Commemoration of the Genocide Against the Tutsi in Rwanda was hosted by Palo Alto University and Stanford University's Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences on behalf of The Rwandan Community of California. The Rwandan Community of California is a member of the Global Diaspora Network.

Palo Alto University's community donated nearly 40 computers to Camara, one of the world’s leading education-based charities. Computers were donated by the University itself and by staff and students.

Mr. Jose Chavarria is everyone’s favorite person at PAU’s main campus – he does his work with diligence, care, and thoughtfulness. PAU staff, faculty, and students depend on him to drive them between the PAU Alpine Road satellite parking lot and the main campus, which he has done every workday for over three years.

Every year, Palo Alto University hosts an Alumni Awards Dinner to honor graduates from each program. Awardees are chosen for their dedication and service to the community. This year, four alumni were selected for this prestigious award during the “Engaging Minds, Improving Lives” Alumni Awards Dinner.

Palo Alto University (PAU) will partner with Camara, a Silicon Valley organization dedicated to using technology to improve education in disadvantaged communities globally.

Members of the PAU community have been dedicated to global mental health education for years, including programs in China and Rwanda in addition some PAU students planning to volunteer their time to go to Haiti to join the infrastructure rebuilding effort.

Palo Alto University (PAU) is pleased to announce that Dr. Alinne Barrera, Assistant Professor and Associate Director of Clinical Training, was given the Samuel M. Turner Early Career Award for Distinguished Contributions to Diversity in Clinical Psychology, 2014.
