The Family Educational Rights and privacy Act (FERPA) declares that an institution may release certain information from a student’s educational record without the written consent and defines Directory Information as the following: “Information contained in an education record of a student which would not generally be considered harmful or an invasion of privacy if disclosed.” (1988 Final Regulations)

Due to the pandemic and restrictions in place by local and state governments, PAU’s 2021 formal commencement ceremonies will take place virtually on Saturday, June 26, 2021. This year’s ceremonies will include the Class of 2020 and the Class of 2021. Commencement for doctoral candidates will take place at 10 a.m. (PST). The ceremony for master’s and bachelor’s candidates begins at 1 p.m. (PST).
PAU Computer Replacement & Purchase Policy
The purpose of this policy is to outline the process by which Palo Alto University acquires, replaces, and disposes of computer hardware equipment for faculty and staff.
This policy applies to all full-time and part-time employees and to the purchase of all computer equipment issued by the university regardless of university funding sources.
