Health Professions Scholarships Program (HPSP)
Is the HPSP Scholarship Program For You?
Are you thinking about becoming a clinical or counseling psychologist? Would a scholarship that pays 100% tuition, books, and most fees help reach your goal?
There are different HPSP Scholarship programs, each with specific durations, and service commitments. Each military branch has specific requirements to qualify for HPSP. If you are interested in applying or have been awarded an HPSP, please contact PAU Veteran Student Services.
The Armed Forces Health Professions Scholarship Programs
The U.S. Army, Navy, and Air Force each offer a scholarship program that:
• Covers 100% of tuition and some fees, as well as a monthly allowance for living expenses for the duration of the scholarship
• Offers one-, two-, three- and/or four-year scholarships
• Requires a service commitment of one year of active duty for each year of participation in the program, with a minimum obligation of three years.

The Veterans Administration Professions Scholarship Program
The VA Professions Scholarship Vet Center (Readjustment Counseling Service) offers a scholarship program for doctoral students that:
• Covers 100% of tuition and some fees, as well as a monthly allowance for living expenses for the duration of the scholarship
• Offers three year scholarships. Internship year is not covered
• Requires a six year placement/service commitment at a Vet Center
