Dr. Allen, Calvin, President Emeritus at Palo Alto University (PAU), has been named the 2017 recipient of the Tosney Award for Career Service in Higher Education by the American Association of University Administrators (AAUA). This prestigious award will be presented to Dr. Calvin for his 32 years of service during AAUA’s annual Leadership Seminar June 8-9, 2017 in New Orleans.
Since January students, faculty and staff of Palo Alto University have donated over 150 coats in the
One Warm Coat drive.
Lauren Simas, member of MA Counseling Honor Society,
Chi Sigma Iota, coordinated the drive with One Warm Coat, a San Francisco non-profit organization. One Warm Coat’s mission is to provide anyone in need with a warm coat, free of charge.
The Center for Excellence in Diversity at Palo Alto University hosted its annual Excellence in Diversity Award Dinner at PAU on April 13, 2017.
Dr. June Klein, Palo Alto University's Vice President of Business Affairs, received the “Financial Executive of the Year” award in the category of Not-for-Profit Companies for the year of 2016/2017, by
Financial Executives International (FEI) Silicon Valley Chapter. Nominated by fellow members of FEI, June’s selection for this award was based on a number of factors, including her leadership within Palo Alto University and her outstanding achievements throughout her career.
Dr. Maureen O'Connor hosted her first Zoom Town Hall Meeting on Sunday, March 12, 2017.

In February, Dr. Alvin Thomas appeared as a guest on Can We Have A Conversation as an expert. The online talk show episode, filmed in Berkley, CA, focuses on fatherhood in the black community, father-son relationships and the challenges faced in these dynamics.
This February Palo Alto University (PAU) alumna, Madison Steele, represented the university in Sacramento for Day in the Capitol. The annual event brings students, faculty and staff members from colleges and universities across California, to the capitol for the opportunity to engage with their state government on important issues.
One of these important issues for our university are impending changes to the Cal Grant, part of which includes a 11.3% decrease in funding for students at private institutions. Leading up to the Day in the Capitol, and with Dr.
