Mentoring is often cited as crucial to success in a wide range of professional careers, particularly in psychology. Despite efforts to characterize the mentoring process, what actually occurs seems to vary in the finer details, yet the reported outcomes “tend to be the same (Malinowski 2018).” While mentoring is often thought to be primarily for the benefit of the mentee, mentors may also benefit in a variety of ways. This program highlights principles for the development of effective mentor/mentee relationships.
