Biography
Dr. Stephanie Crockett is a licensed clinical psychologist and core faculty member in the PAU-Stanford PsyD Consortium where she is involved in teaching, supervision, academic advising, and serving on dissertation committees. She co-directs the Mental Health Clinic practicum program in collaboration with the VA Palo Alto Health Care System, providing interdisciplinary training in evidence-based, culturally responsive assessment and psychotherapy. She also teaches a graduate-level course in clinical supervision and co-leads the Supervision Training Rotation for Stanford Postdoctoral Fellows.
Dr. Crockett is an alumna from the PAU-Stanford PsyD Consortium and completed her predoctoral internship with a PTSD emphasis at the Phoenix VA Health Care System and her postdoctoral fellowship in PTSD and substance use disorders at the San Francisco VA. In her clinical work, she specializes in complex trauma, anxiety disorders, emotion dysregulation, and interpersonal difficulties. She works through a trauma-informed lens, incorporating attachment-based, relational, somatic, and CBT interventions. She also leads a therapy group for BIPOC veterans focused on the impact of racism and trauma on wellbeing, and advocates for integrating a multicultural lens into all aspects of supervision, teaching, and clinical care.
