Jared Boot-Haury, PsyD, ABPP

Jared Boot-Haury, PsyD, MBA, ABPP, is a board-certified and licensed clinical psychologist whose work spans LGBTQ+ health, psychological assessment, clinical supervision, public policy, and professional advocacy. Dr. Boot-Haury currently serves as an ADHD/ASD Assessment Psychologist at Kaiser Permanente San Francisco Medical Center, where they conduct psychological assessments, provide diagnostic clarification and recommendations, and consult with interdisciplinary care teams. They also serve as a Licensed Clinical Supervisor at the Clinics @ Palo Alto University Sexual and Gender Identities Clinic, where they provide individual and group supervision to doctoral practicum students.

Dr. Boot-Haury’s leadership and advocacy work focuses on advancing culturally responsive, evidence-based care for LGBTQ+ communities. They serve as Co-Chair of the APA Division 44 Public Policy Committee and Co-Chair of the APA Division 44 Committee on Consensual Non-Monogamy, and previously served as Vice President of Policy and Government Affairs for GLMA: Health Professionals Advancing LGBTQ+ Equality. Their service has also included leadership roles with APA Division 12, Gaylesta, and WPATH, as well as ongoing committee work related to health equity, LGBTQ+ policy, certification, mentorship, and professional education.

Dr. Boot-Haury is a former Goldblum-Carr Postdoctoral Fellow in LGBTQ+ Psychology Research at Palo Alto University, where they contributed to LGBTQ+ research, pedagogy, mentorship, grant development, and dissemination in collaboration with PAU faculty and community partners. Their scholarship centers on LGBTQ+ health, minority stress, asexuality, transgender and gender-diverse populations, culturally responsive clinical practice, and health equity. They have authored numerous peer-reviewed publications, presented nationally, and contributed to position statements addressing gender-affirming care, consensual non-monogamy, asexuality, interstate licensure compacts, and prescribing psychologist scope of practice.
