PAU Welcomes Commencement Speaker, Jonah Paquette, PsyD

Palo Alto University(PAU) is proud to announce that this year’s commencement speaker will be Jonah Paquette, PsyD, a Distinguished Clinical Psychologist, Author, and a member of the PAU alumni community. As the university marks its 50th anniversary, Dr. Paquette’s return to address the Class of 2026 reflects both the strength of PAU’s alumni network and the enduring impact of its graduates in advancing human understanding and well being.

Dr. Paquette completed his graduate training through the PAU-Stanford PsyD Consortium in Palo Alto, an experience that helped shape his career and commitment to the field. His journey from student to recognized voice in psychology speaks to the kind of work PAU graduates carry forward, applying insight, compassion, and evidence-based practice to support individuals, strengthen communities, and contribute to a more thoughtful and connected world.

A clinical psychologist specializing in the science of happiness and the promotion of well being, Dr. Paquette works with individuals, teams, and organizations to help them flourish. He delivers keynote presentations and workshops for organizations worldwide, translating psychological science into practical skills that foster resilience, connection, and purpose.

He is the author of four books, including Happily Even After, Awestruck, The Happiness Toolbox, and Real Happiness. His work explores themes such as awe, gratitude, and connection, offering research-informed approaches to cultivating greater meaning and fulfillment in everyday life. Prior to his current work, he spent over a decade in healthcare leadership at Kaiser Permanente, and his insights have been featured across a wide range of media outlets.

PAU is honored to welcome Dr. Paquette back during this milestone year. His perspective as both an accomplished professional and alumnus offers a compelling and fitting message for graduates as they prepare to carry forward this work in the years ahead.
